I like the Twilight movies. So here's Twilight from a person who knows the game's perspective. In Twilight we can see Edward using typical push-pull techniques to get Bella to fall in love with him. When she first sees him, he's hanging out with the other vampires, instant social proof and the girl tells her about him. He got the whole mysterious guy thing going. He acts totally repulsed by her and even leaves for couple of days when they first meet. Aterwards he keeps pushing her. And she just gets more obssesed with him and emotionally invested. He gets her emotionally invested by teaching her about his world. Reading minds and making her feel unique. Also disqualification by telling her they can't be together over and over. Women love when a guy is offputting and finally opens up to them. When he finally has her, he leaves again. Then Jacob Black tries to move in in the most Chodes of ways, by being the friend, the shoulder to cry on. By always being there she doesn't feel she needs him, he even begs her to stay. She leaves anyway. The good guy loses to the emotionally unavaliable guy because he didn't get her to invest in him.

IMO Twilight is the new Fight Club.
